SHOULDER INJECTIONS
BICEPS
Lateral approach
Tips and tricks:
Try to insert the needle a little bit away from the transducer to get as parallell as possible and avoid a steep angle.
SUBACROMIAL BURSA
Transverse view
Tips and tricks:
I usually do this this injection in the transverse plane, coming from a lateral/posterior angle, injecting in the direction towards the biceps tendon. Patient either seated or sidelying.

AC-JOINT
Lateral approach
Tips and tricks:
If you inject the AC-joint from the lateral side you sometimes need to have a layer of gel on the lateral side to put the needle through, especially if you have a skinny patient. Of course you need to use sterile gel and disinfect the skin prior to injection.
